BROAD, ADAPTABLE
PRODUCT BASE — We Go Further
From the Cobra and Apache helicopter to the Bell/Boeing V-22 Osprey to
the Sikorsky S-76 HR Textron actuators are found on a broad range of rotorcraft.
In fact, all Bell helicopters rely on HR Textron technology for their
main and tail rotor actuators.
Working from a diversified base of flight-proven actuation products, HR
Textron engineers don't always have to start from scratch to meet customer
needs. Consider, for example, how we adapted the same fly-by-wire technology
through various phases of the U.S. Navy's F-18 fighter jet, then evolved
it to a whole new platform — the tile-rotor. (First, to the power
drive unit on Bell-Boeing's V-22, then to the pylon conversion actuation
system on Bell Agusta's BA609.)
The HR Textron product base goes even further with a broad range of components
available individually or in kits. We assume responsibility for the entire
package — actuators, brackets, hoses and other parts the technician
will need to install the system.
PRODUCT RELIABILITY — We Go
Further
While reliability is essential with all types of
rotorcraft, the demanding military environment puts actuation components
to the test. They must withstand tremendous force and vibration, respond
at lightening speeds, and they must fit within small envelope requirements.
At HR Textron we have demonstrated the reliability of our products on
a variety of military rotorcraft including the V-22 Osprey, Cobra, Kiowa,
Huey and Apache.
COMPETITIVE
PRICING — We Go Further
We never stop striving for continuous improvement. We're continually pushing
our design and production processes further to keep costs down. At HR
Textron, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer highly reliable products
and great service at an affordable price, over the entire life of the
aircraft.
CONTINUOUS
IMPROVEMENT — We Go Further
HR Textron customers reap the benefits of robust
corporate-wide tools and programs including Textron Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing,
and Integrated Supply Chain. Through these initiatives we're able to drive
sustainable cost reduction and invest in research and development for
breakthrough technologies.
Taking Technology Further — As we strive to meet
our customers' current needs, we're always thinking about the future,
devoting internal research and development resources to projects like
electromechanical and fly-by-light actuation. We're replacing manual signals
and hydraulic lines with electrical systems and fiber optics, like those
found in the V-22.
Staying Ahead of Demand — Customers are continually
looking for faster, timely and flexible deliveries. At HR Textron, we
have initiatives in all of those areas. We go further in production economies,
innovative design, system performance and customer service.
CUSTOMER
RELATIONSHIPS — We Go Further
Over the years, our customers have thanked us with many awards. We're
particularly proud to have earned Boeing's coveted Silver Supplier Award,
Northrop Grumman's Platinum Supplier Award and Lockheed Martin's Star
Award. Going further every day helped us meet our customers' strict requirements
for quality and on-time delivery.
