Ergonomics
To mitigate impacts from shock caused by extreme marine conditions, the MLB features 360-degree rotatable shock absorbing operator seats outfitted with lap belts, lumbar support and arm rests.

The user-friendly electronics are within easy reach of the operator and navigator, and con accommodate 5th percentile female and 95th percentile male. The fly-by-wire navigation and control systems offer exceptionally responsive maneuvering. The enclosed bridge is easily accessible from the open bridge, aft deck or engine room.

A potable water supply, cooler, sink and hot cup are provided in the survivor's compartment. Forward, there is an enclosed head. The survivor's compartment and attendant seating are situated at the combined center of rotation of the vessel, providing maximum passenger safety and comfort during rough sea operations.

Alternative Configurations
Because of the tremendous success of this platform, a number of international customers have expressed interest in using the MLB platform to achieve their specific mission scenarios. In answer to those inquiries, Textron Systems has further developed the MLB to address a variety of missions, including search and rescue, patrol, firefighting and other law enforcement and paramilitary activities. In addition, we now offer a 52-foot model that encompasses the same design attributes as the 47-footer, but with added amenities that allow for extended range and higher speeds. In all, there are over 36 variations from which to choose, with a range of power, propulsion, capabilities and options.
