The Terrain Commander system combines state-of-the-art communications
and mapping technologies with a supporting array of acoustic, seismic,
magnetic, electro-optical and passive infrared sensors tailored

Optical
Acoustic Satcom Integrated Sensor (OASIS)
Communication from field-deployed OASIS allows Terrain Commander
to detect, capture and process images of intruder activity. Subject
and images are transmitted to a distant Command and Control Station
(CCS) in near real-time. Displays and data transmitted from the
field-deployed OASIS to the CSS — including maps and multi-frame
motion detection — identify distant or obscure images that
would be undetectable in a static image.
With Terrain Commander, a single operator can monitor a large number
of remote surveillance sites simultaneously — from anywhere
in the world — conserving time and personnel. Unlike other
intruder detection systems, Terrain Commander can characterize and
differentiate intruders or interest, preventing frequent nuisance
or false alarms.
OASIS
and Mini-Sensors — The eyes and ears of the system (in
the field)
The OASIS offers day/night electro-optics and features:
- Acoustic sensors that detect and classify
a variety of intruders including personnel, ground vehicles,
watercraft, rotorcraft and fixed-wing aircraft.
- A combination of advanced digital signal
processing and acoustic sensors accurately distinguishes
a possible threat and transmits images to the CCS for review.
- A receiving and central processing unit
for mini-sensors.

Custom
configurations meet the demands of any unmanned ground surveillance
operation
- Seismic, magnetic, piezoelectric and passive
infrared sensors — suitable for a variety of applications
— are among the mini-sensors deployed in the field.
The system can also be customized to include meterological,
nuclear, chemical and biological detection.
- One-man portable, OASIS fits into an oversized
backpack and can be deployed and fully operational within
minutes.
