The High Speed Landing Craft Utility (HSLCU) planing hull design incorporates
the latest marine industry technologies into an amphibious
assault craft designed for the 21st century. The use of water-jet
propulsion allows high-speed operations from over-the-horizon
and permits close beach access through a reduction in draft.
